Send new messages, bookings and orders to your own tools
A webhook sends each new message, email subscriber, booking or order to an address you choose, so it can land in a spreadsheet, a chat or a CRM. Owners on the Business plan can add up to five.
Do you want every new message from your site in a chat channel, or every order in a spreadsheet, without typing it in? A webhook does that. When something happens, we send a short message about it to an address you give us, and a tool like Zapier, Make or your own server can take it from there.
Webhooks come with the Business plan, and only owners can use them. If your tool asks for a "webhook URL" or "catch hook" address, that's what to paste in when you add one.
Add one
- Open Webhooks in your dashboard (under Account).
- Press Add a webhook, paste the address, and tick what it should hear about:
- A new message from a form (never spam)
- A lead changes stage
- Someone joins your email list
- A new booking, request or waitlist spot
- A new paid order
- Copy the signing secret it shows, and keep it somewhere safe. It's shown once.
- Press Send a test. The page tells you whether your address answered.
The address must start with https:// and be reachable from the internet. You can have up to five.
What's sent
Each event carries the details of what happened, like the person's name, email, phone and what they wrote or booked. It's sent only to the addresses you added, and only for the events you ticked. The developer docs list every field.
If your address stops working
If it doesn't answer, we try again a few times over several hours. If it fails 20 times in a row, we stop sending to it and email the owners. Turn it back on from Webhooks once it's working. What happened while it was stopped isn't sent later.
Under each webhook, Recent deliveries shows what we sent, whether it arrived and what the address answered. We keep that for 30 days.
Keep it safe
The signing secret lets your tool check that a request really came from us. Keep it private. If it leaks, delete the webhook and add a new one: it gets a new secret. See how to check the signature if you write the code that receives it.

Still stuck?
Try it on the live demo first; nothing you do there is saved. If you’d rather have a person do it, ask for a work request from your dashboard. You’ll get a quote before any work starts.
