Brands and photos
Every video is made for one of your brands, from its logo, colors and photos.
Brands
A brand is a business's logo, web address and colors, plus its photos and videos. Each website in your account has its own brand, and you can make brands for businesses without a website in Dashboard › Studio.
curl https://sitebrite.app/api/v1/brands \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY"
{
"brands": [
{ "id": "cm9x2brand0001", "name": "Fernbrook Bakery", "website": true },
{ "id": "cm9x2brand0002", "name": "Saturday pop-up", "website": false }
]
}
Every render names its brand by id. The brand's logo, web address and colors fill those parts of the video.
Photos
A template's image names take one of the brand's photos, by its name. Upload a photo first, then use its name in a render.
Upload a photo
Send the photo itself as the request body: JPEG, PNG or WebP, up to 4 MB. X-File-Name is optional and makes the stored name readable.
curl https://sitebrite.app/api/v1/brands/cm9x2brand0001/photos \
-H "Authorization: Bearer $API_KEY" \
-H "Content-Type: image/jpeg" \
-H "X-File-Name: fresh-loaves.jpg" \
--data-binary @fresh-loaves.jpg
{
"photo": {
"name": "fresh-loaves-3fa9c2.jpg",

"createdAt": "2026-10-29T18:00:00.000Z"
}
}
Use name in a render: "modifications": { "photo_1": "fresh-loaves-3fa9c2.jpg" }.
- Size it for video first: 1920 pixels on the longer side is plenty.
- What a file really is comes from its contents, not its name or type. Anything other than a JPEG, PNG or WebP gets a
415. - A website's photos are its site's own uploads, the same ones its editor shows.
